Job description

Hello, let’s meet!

Who We Are

While Xebia is a global tech company, our journey in CEE started with two Polish companies – PGS Software, known for world-class cloud and software solutions, and GetInData, a pioneer in Big Data. Today, we’re a team of 1,000+ experts delivering top-notch work across cloud, data, and software. And we’re just getting started.

What We Do

We work on projects that matter – and that make a difference. From fintech and e-commerce to aviation, logistics, media, and fashion, we help our clients build scalable platforms, data and AI solutions, and cutting-edge applications to shape the future of tech. Our clients include McLaren, Aviva, Deloitte, Spotify, Disney, ING, UPS, Tesco, Truecaller, AllSaints, Volotea, Schmitz Cargobull, Allegro, InPost, and many, many more.

We value smart tech, real ownership, and continuous growth. We use modern, open-source stacks, and we’re proud to be trusted partners of Databricks, dbt, Snowflake, Azure, GCP, and AWS. Fun fact: we were the first AWS Premier Partner in Poland!

Beyond Projects

What makes Xebia special? Our community. We support tech communities, organize meetups (Software Talks, Data Tech Talks), and have a culture that actively support your growth via Guilds, Labs, and personal development budgets — for both tech and soft skills. It’s not just a job. It’s a place to grow.

What sets us apart?

Our mindset. Our vibe. Our people. And while that’s hard to capture in text – come visit us and see for yourself.

You will be:

  • dividing your working time into different general activities: project work (most of the time), consulting and support of the pre-sales department,

  • participating in various customer projects, designing new, green-field projects as well as leading migrations and modernizations of the legacy software,

  • actively taking part in the SDLC process, starting from the discovery phase,

  • preparing high-level documentation, including diagrams and ADRs,

  • designing, modelling, and making critical decisions regarding the solution architecture and utilized infrastructure,

  • estimating high-level cost and time to deliver,

  • leading regular discussions with customers,

  • analyzing functional and non-functional requirements, to better plan, scope and define projects so a high-quality solution can be delivered,

  • investigating new potential solutions as well as leading PoC projects to check their viability.

Job requirements

Your profile:

  • Software Development Expert with at least 12 years of commercial experience in the industry,

  • hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including managing cloud-based infrastructure, deploying services, and ensuring scalability and security,

  • understand the application development process as well as the DevOps culture, and know what is happening under the hood for the code and the infrastructure,

  • architect software components, integrations, infrastructures, high-level visions, and migrations (e.g., monolith to microservices, cloud to cloud, on-premise to the cloud) for at least 5 years,

  • experienced in working with external clients (on a C-level as well), and you simply like it,

  • a good understanding of architecture patterns (e.g., monolithic, microservices, hexagonal, SOA, Event Driven Design, CRUD, serverless, Lambda, Kappa, design for failure),

  • keen to propose and implement a project delivery strategy (either big-bang style or staged and iterative releases),

  • experienced in conducting online/offline workshops and ready to drive it from problem statement to delivery of the final artefact,

  • know industry-standard methods of workshopping exercises,

  • an expert in ideas visualisation, effectively using tools like Miro, draw.io, Lucid Charts, PlantUML, Mermaid, C4, and more,

  • exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both business/functional and highly technical individuals,

  • take full responsibility of all technical aspects of the project. If there are any problems along the way, you are willing to drill down, self-educate and propose the best tactical solution to get closer to the strategic goals,

  • open to exploring and experimenting with cutting-edge GenAI tools in software development, aligning technical prowess with innovative approaches,

  • passionate about continuous learning and sharing knowledge,

  • thrive in dynamic environments and can navigate ambiguity with ease,

  • understand Agile SDLC,

  • have made an effort to pass certificates (Azure, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, etc.),

  • have the readiness to work on projects with increased data protection standards,

  • have the readiness to travel to clients’ locations and Xebia offices,
