You will be:
architecting and executing application migrations to GCP by containerizing and deploying to cloud platforms (Kubernetes, VMs),
leading migration initiatives from on-premises systems to modern cloud infrastructure with minimal service disruption,
designing and implementing live update strategies to manage planned downtimes with minimal business impact,
managing multi-platform environments including Linux, Unix, and Windows systems,
implementing automated deployment pipelines to support continuous delivery,
collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migrations.
Job requirements
Your profile:
5+ years of experience in platform engineering or cloud infrastructure, preferably with GCP,
strong expertise in application containerization, including Docker, container security, and optimization,
proficiency in Kubernetes orchestration and Helm package management,
proven track record of successful application migration projects,
experience with database administration and migration (Oracle, PostgreSQL),
programming skills in Python, C, and Java,
hands-on experience with Linux, Unix, and Windows environments,
demonstrated expertise with web servers such as Tomcat and Apache,
strong background in API integration and development (REST, SOAP),
knowledge of database connectors and optimization techniques,
strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams,
self-motivated learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
Work from EU and a work permit to work from EU are required.
Nice to have:
deep understanding of authentication systems including SSO and LDAP implementations,
experience with High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments,
knowledge of zero-downtime deployment strategies,
familiarity with cloud cost optimization practices,
understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
